About PAVI

 

The Danish Knowledge Centre for Palliative Care (PAVI) is a national knowledge centre established in the beginning of 2009 to collect, create and spread knowledge within the field of palliative care in Denmark. The knowledge centre aims at raising quality and assuring continuing development of the field.

 

The Danish Knowledge Centre for Palliative Care is the result of a collaboration between the following parts:

TrygFonden (The Tryg Foundation)
Dansk Selskab for Palliativ Medicin (The Danish Society for Palliative Medicine)
Foreningen for Palliativ Indsats - omsorg ved livets afslutning (The Association for Palliative Care)
Gruppen af Ledere ved Hospice, Palliative Teams og Palliative Enheder (The Group of Hospice Leaders, Palliative Team,s and Palliative Units)
Hospice Forum Danmark (The Danish Hospice Forum)
Kræftens Bekæmpelse (The Danish Cancer Society).

 
PAVI is being funded by The Tryg Foundation (8 million DKK) and The Danish Cancer Society (1.5 million DKK) from 2009 through the end of 2011. From 2012 PAVI will receive its funding from the Danish national budget.
